GATE 2017 Result: Are You Looking For GATE 2017 Result? GATE exam is conducted every year as a gateway to postgraduate courses at the Masters and Doctoral level across the country.This year as many as 971, 860 candidates had registered and applied for GATE 2017 exam, out of which 818, 850 took the exam.
The scores obtained in GATE 2017 will be valid for a period of three years, from the date of announcement of results. GATE 2017 was jointly administered by the IISc and seven Indian Institute of Technology, namely: Mumbai, Delhi, Kanpur, Roorkee, Madras, Kharagpur, Guwahati.The GATE 2017 exam was held on January 30, 31 and February 6 and 2017 for various branches. The candidates qualifying in this exam are only eligible for admission into PG Courses like M.Tech, M.S etc.

Earlier, the answer keys of the exam were made available for the candidates to analyze their performance in the exam. Those who wish to check have checked the keys. The candidates who clear the GATE exam with high merit will be eligible for to pursue Masters in best of colleges/ institutes across the country. The GATE score is also being used by the Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) for recruiting suitable candidates for the entry level positions. GATE Score is valid for three years after the declaration of results. The GATE paper is a single paper which had 65 questions carrying 65 marks in total for a duration of three hours.
After the evaluation of the answers, normalized marks based on the above formula will be calculated corresponding to the raw marks obtained by a candidate in the CE, CS, EC, EE and ME papers and the GATE 2017 score will be calculated based on the normalized marks. For all other papers, actual marks obtained will be used for calculating the GATE 2017 Score.
